Posted March 23, 2020

AmaWaterways proudly announced that it was named 2020 Cruise Line of the Year by CCRA Travel Commerce Network, a global hub for travel technology, marketing, accreditation and education. AmaWaterways’ Columba Calicchio, business development manager, and Sonia Maslovskaya, global trade marketing manager, accepted the award on behalf of the cruise line, during the second annual PowerSolutions National conference held February 6-9 in Fort Washington, MD.

“Providing top-level education and innovative marketing support for travel advisors and agency owners have been key elements of AmaWaterways’ success since the company was founded in 2002,” said Alex Pinelo, vice president of sales for the leading river cruise line. “We are very proud that CCRA has chosen us as their Cruise Line of the Year and believe the honor is a testament to our teams ongoing commitment to providing the best river experience for travel advisors and their clients.”

With a passion for delivering authentic and immersive river cruise vacations, AmaWaterways has earned a reputation for transforming the industry by introducing innovative ship design, creating enriching shore excursions and providing award-winning cuisine, locally sourced wine and attentive guest service. Introducing more people to the magic of river cruising with AmaWaterways, the company is expanding its fleet and introducing new itineraries on the Moselle and Main rivers in 2020 with the addition of its 24th ship, AmaSiena.

Welcoming nearly 300 travel advisors and suppliers, the PowerSolutions National conference allowed attendees to connect with a community of experts and suppliers, uncover tactical advice from industry-leaders and learn how to drive a travel business in the digital age.
