Free Wi-Fi Hotspots in St. Maarten
By Alara Shannon  | May 1, 2013

In our last Free Wi-Fi Hotspots post, we discussed the benefits of disconnecting on a cruise vacation.

But, we all know that we can’t fully unplug. There are times we may need to get in touch with someone at home or they just have to see a picture of the most beautiful beach you’ve ever seen – right now!

If you’re taking a cruise to St. Maarten you do have a few locations near the cruise ship dock. So to save you a little time, we’ve put together a list of free Wi-Fi hotspots in St. Maarten.

Keep in Mind:

Wi-Fi is great for keeping up with everyone at home, or uploading pictures, but it is still an unsecured connection. Protect yourself by not conducting any personal business, like accessing bank information, over an unsecured connection especially while traveling internationally.

While we have gathered the latest information on hotspots, they can always change, so the crew of your ship will be the best resource for finding free or inexpensive Wi-Fi hotspots; this is how they keep in touch with their families, too!

Most ships dock on the Dutch side, in Great Bay, at the A.C. Wathey Pier in Point Blanche. The pier is about 1 mile from the center of Philipsburg, the capital of St. Maarten. On busy days, some ships anchor in Great Bay and tenders will transport passengers directly to the center of town.
